ntel Reaffirms Stability, Growth Strategy, and Commitment to Stakeholders
NatCom Development & Investment Limited (trading as ntel) welcomes the recent announcement by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) regarding its intention to seek strategic investors for the company. The development reflects the continued progress, resilience, and growth potential of ntel as the company advances its vision of becoming a leading integrated digital infrastructure and technology solutions provider.
The announcement aligns with AMCON’s mandate to maximise value from its investments. AMCON confirmed that it has recovered significant value from its investment in ntel and commended the Board and Management for repositioning the business for sustainable growth across its three strategic BET (Beam, Eden, and Titan) business pillars.
Beam delivers next-generation connectivity and digital solutions, Eden unlocks value through strategic real estate development and asset optimisation, while Titan provides tower infrastructure and colocation solutions that expand connectivity and support industry growth. Together, these three pillars are driving The Next Frontier of innovation, connectivity, and sustainable value creation.
As part of its value recovery mandate, AMCON has undertaken similar strategic divestment processes involving major Nigerian assets, including Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), Lagos Continental Hotel, amongst others. The commencement of this process for ntel represents a natural next step in the company’s growth journey and reflects the value created through the efforts of the Board, Management, and stakeholders.
Commenting on the development, Managing Director/CEO, Soji Maurice-Diya, said:
“This positive announcement marks the official beginning of a structured process to identify a long-term strategic investor that can support ntel’s sustainable growth and future aspirations. It is an important step in our continued evolution and does not represent the conclusion of the process. There is no immediate change to our ownership, operations, workforce, or the way we conduct our business. Our focus remains firmly on executing The Next Frontier strategy, delivering exceptional services to our customers, and creating long-term value for all our stakeholders.”
The company emphasised that identifying potential investors, conducting due diligence, negotiating transaction terms, and obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals are standard stages of any strategic investment process and typically require time to complete.
ntel continues to operate within the regulatory framework established by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), which remains the industry regulator overseeing telecommunications activities in Nigeria. All relevant activities and strategic decisions remain subject to applicable regulatory requirements and approvals.
ntel encourages stakeholders and the public to rely only on official communications from ntel and AMCON for accurate and verified information regarding this process and to disregard speculation or unverified reports.
ntel remains committed to serving its customers, supporting its partners, delivering value to stakeholders, and building on the strong momentum that has positioned the company for its next phase of growth.
